HTC One X quad-core Android out 5th April, says O2

The HTC One X was one of the stars of MWC 2012. So we have good news. The striking good looking and powerful quad-core Android phone will hit the UK on 5th April. Phone network O2 spilled the date over Twitter, confirming the release of the potential iPhone-beater next month. The release date was spotted after O2 tweeted in response to a customer query asking the network about HTC One X tariffs. The response read: “we’re not due to get the HTC until 5th April so no decision on tariffs yet”.

HTC One X super quad-core Android phone unleashed

This would be the first time we’ve heard of a UK release date for what is an exciting new Android phone that could help HTC clean up this year. The HTC One X has specs that are not to be sniffed at.
Inside the 4.7-inch HTC One X you’ll find a quad-core 1.5GHz Tegra 3 processor and up to 32GB of storage, full high definition video shooting and an 8-megapixel camera with an f/2.0 lens suited to low-light shooting, LED flash and autofocus. A front-facing camera will also shoot HD video. Video calls will be super clear.

The HTC One X can also boast some neat sound tech, courtesy of Beats by Dre audio being built into it. That spells big bass and hi-fi quality music with headphones.Increasingly it looks like we don’t have long to wait for the HTC One X. The Android handset is already up for pre-order at O2 and Vodafone. It’s an impressive-sounding phone that will be up against tough competition from the incoming Samsung Galaxy S3, which itself looks like getting a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, and equally good specs all-round.Will you be getting your pre-order in? Let us know which phone you’ll be going for this year, in the comments section below.
